Michelle and Raffi Vartanian’s partnership goes back further than most in the financial industry — all the way to high school. The two met at Minnechaug Regional High School in Wilbraham, Massachusetts, where Raffi graduated in 1973 and Michelle in 1974. High school sweethearts, they went on to marry in 1981 and moved from Massachusetts to Florida so Raffi could pursue golf year-round as a PGA golf professional, a role he held at Wilbraham Country Club from 1976 to 1981.

Michelle earned her Bachelor of Science in Commercial Recreation, with a minor in Economics, from Springfield College in 1978, where she was also an All-American gymnast. Raffi earned his Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Westfield State College in 1977.

Michelle entered the securities industry in 1982, the same year Raffi became a sales manager at Browning-Ferris Industries, where he remained until 1992. That year, Raffi transitioned into the securities industry himself, joining AF Best Securities as a Financial Adviser specializing in fixed income investments. In 1986 the couple started their family; their son, Brett, and their daughter, Tanya, were both born in 1989. The children grew up in Coral Springs, Florida, on the grounds of Eagle Trace Golf Club.

In 1998, Michelle and Raffi formally joined their businesses together at Smith Barney, where Raffi continued as a Financial Adviser through 2007. He went on to serve as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley (2007-2013) and, most recently, at UBS Financial Services (2013-present), where he also served as a Wealth Management Marketing Specialist. Raffi also became a member of Adios in February 1996, a club that has been an integral part of his life both personally and professionally

After decades of building their respective practices — separately and then together — Michelle and Raffi launched their own firm, RMV Securities LLC, headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida.
